Its the same recipe but shaped into an oblong. They don't need to be deep fried can be baked like a bun but then not really a donut

I've cooked a mix of 1 cup self raising flour, 1 egg, 1 mashed banana, 1 egg. Put in bowl and mix to a soft dough with water (or milk). Not too stiff or soft. an inbetween mix. Deep fry in (dear I say it) dripping or oil. To me its a bit like a fry bread mix.The texture should be, that it can be cut and shaped but if you hold in your hand, it would drip out of your hand. Roll or sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, cut and fill with fresh cream and jam or golden syrup or choccy or caramel. You can add cocoa powder to the mix for a choccy flavoured bun
