My 10 year old daughter has decided she wants to try vegetarian. I couldn't do it myself, don't like enough veges lol. But I want to help her as much as possible and happy for her to give it a go. Can anyone recommend some basic recipes particularly for dinner and lunch etc! Thanks in advance.

Just bumped the vegetarian thread for you.
I make a pumpkin fetticine.
500g pumpkin cut into ½ inch dice
1 onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed
3Tbso Olive oil
4-6 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
pinch ground nutmeg
250 mls chicken or vegetable stock
Optional 115g Ham Parma finely chopped (I use bacon)
250g of dried pasta eg fetticine
150mls standard cream
salt and pepper
freshly grated parmesan ( I use tasty cheese).

heat oil in pan and cook over a low heat for 3 mins the onion and garlic and bacon if using (not the parma ham though). The add ½ the parsley and fry 1 min.
Add the pumpkin and cook 2-3 mins and sseason to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add halk the stock and bring to boil, simmer for 10 mins, adding more stock if needed.
Add Parma ham and cook for a further 2 mins.
Lastly stir the cream through, heat well and pour over your cooked pasta.
