Pork steaks cut up (or a diced shoulder roast), browned, put in bottom of crockpot. Brown onions, chopped red and yellow pepper, a few cloves of crushed garlic. Tip in a can or two of fruit juice and all - pineapple, fruit salad, lychees... a slosh of sweet chili sauce. Mix up a packet of French onion soup with cold water in a cup until smooth, throw that in last. Instead of soup, you could add a slosh of dark soy, char siu sauce or hoisin sauce. Yum.
