I use stock, throw everything in and leave til cook, then use stick blender thing to make it smoother (take bacon hock out first, then when I have done the stick blender thing, take the meat off the bone and put it back back in and leave it to re heat )

i use the kings soup mix bring it to boil on the stove top first. then chuck it in the slow cooker, with a bacon hock and grated veges. so yummy to come home to on a cold winters night. both of our girls played hockey last winter, they had a few night games. soup in the slow cooker was a favourite many times.
