Jam makers please

I intend to make some savory apple rosemary jelly, but I want to put some garlic in too. Do I add this at the boiling syrup and sugar stage or at the end in the jar with the rosemary!

I would crush fresh garlic and add just as before bottling once it reaches setting point. Like the sound of it- might make some myself. I made a lovely grape jelly with mint this year- tastes a treat with lamb.
