I know they tend to be dry and tough if not treated carefully, but can anybody give me a clue how to make this one a success !

VERY SLOW ROAST IN AN OVEN BAG, JUST THE SAME AS COOKING DUCKS. THEY ARE YUMMY, WE ALSO HAVE ONE IN THE FREEZER. ENJOY.

I would love to cook a Pheasant trouble is I am still too slow and always seem to shoot just where they were. Or on one occasion got everything perfect lead the bird followed through and pulled the trigger at the exact right moment only to discover the safety was on DOH!

Vegetarian hunter this year so far.

Too late for your meal but a couple of weeks ago I cooked my in the crock pot which I don't normally door.First of all I browned them in hot oil then placed them in the crockpot just like that - no other liquid or flavourings other than S & P.I wasn't there to enjoy them but apparently they were very tender and didn't dry out
