I cheat and go to an Indian restaurant; I ask where can I buy it! or do you make it yourselves!

They always say they make it and give me a jar to take home. Also, the Tumeric Yoghurt Mint sauce found on Chicken Tikkas.

I then make a welcome Tip with a smile :-)

You can find Tamarind concentrate at Asian supermarkets and then you can make your own chutney. Any of the Indian grocery shops (Moshims) will have Tamarind Chutney.

1tbsp (20ml) Tamarind Concentrate
1 green chili seeded and finely chopped
1/4 cup (60ml) water
2tbsp (40ml) brown sugar
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp salt

Combine all ingrediants in a small bowl and mix well.

This is a yummy easy sauce to make from Kurma Dasa.
It benefits from being put in the fridge for a bit before serving.
