Asian Rice/Noodle dishes.

I am a huge fan of Nazi Goreng and Singapore Noodles - BUT - whenever I cook them I just can't seem to get "THAT" flavour, that you get when you buy it. Anyone in here worked in a Chinese Restaurant or knows what the "Secret" ingredients are... ... ...

i dont have a clue but i would love to find out. have tried every packet under the sun and various combinations of sauces and spices, buggered if i can get "that" flavour either.

i think chinese cooks (and indian ones also) have some secret gene that i just dont have, i want it to taste like the takeaway's but it never does.
