hi all, my mother in law is looking for a few recipes for a diabetic she thinks she has to give up all the good stuff, and I thought there may be some of you that have had to cook for some one with this illness, and may like to offer a few ideas, and I will pass them on to her, many thanks.

Hi, I have been a diabetic for over 20 years, tablets and insulin. Mainly follow a normal healthy diet that we all should follow. Less fats, sugar etc. Is she under a dietician, she can give her the best advice.

It depends if this is a diabetic1 - or a diabetic2
AND it depends if diabetic2 - if the person is on insulin shots or insulin tablets or trying to do a low carb diet so he/she doesn't need insulin ... .
Without that info - it would be very dubious to give ANY advice ...
