Cooking roast pork in a crock pot

I was going to do a normal roast in the oven but have to be out late this arvo so was wondering if I put the pork in the oven on high for 30mins now to get the crackling right, then put it in the crock pot for the rest of the day would that work!

I think the crackling would go soft sadly.Pork itself cooks really nicely in the crockpot.

I would par cook it in the oven first crisping up the crackle first thing as you suggest.but remove crackle and set aside and place roast in the crock pot
Use salt on the crackle and place in the over skin side down firstly and then turn over to crisp up the crackle.keep on eye out it doesn't burn.
Some nice fresh chopped up sage in the crock pot for the roast.
