Fondant icing q

Is it the soft white icing they sell at paknsave!doesn't say fondant also if i make a cake friday for sunday where do i store it in the fridge or cupboard never used fondant before but am giving it ago cant be too hard play enough play dough with the kids lol

Yes, soft white icing is fondant. Cover your cake, have lots of fun, and leave it out to dry in cupboard, sideboard etc. If you place it in the fridge, it will be too wet.

The best and easiest to work with is the Bakels brand. A 750g blue and silver packet, should cover 20 cm cake. Use hands to rub and smooth, once you have it on the cake.

Dont forget to 'paint' your cake with thinned jam before applying fondant.Use left over fondant as sweets, roll flat and cut into shapes, or use inside choc moulds.
