Baking

I have muffins and a cake to make and it says to use oil but i dont have oil so can i use marg also how would i measure it out i need 1/2 oil for both

would just go to superm to get some oil but they are closed :(

borrow some from a friendly neighbour maybe!
or melt some unsalted butter!

Personally I would find other recipes that don't use oil. There's no guarantee how things would turn out without the original ingredients.

and I would melt the marg and measure it that way, instead of oil

Friendly neighbours are a no go gang member one side and the other side they are away. They are out of a box as im not to good at baking lol no unsalted butter either hmm mayb il have to go for a walk when my son wakes up then.

Alison Holst mentions in one/some of her muffin books that you can subsititute 1/4 cup oil with 50 grams butter/marg. I have tried this and found it to be successful,
