My daughters birthday next weekend and i thought i would get ahead by making the cake today and freezing it so all i have to do is assemble and ice it etc next weekend,. will the cake go dry if i freeze it!Im using a cake mix from a packet, so hoping it would stay nice and fresh if i freeze it immediately on cooling!Any tips on how to store it in the freezer!

i have frozen banana cake before and its drfosted ok. But i'm no cook or expert so i don't know if thats the norm or if i fluked it.!

It should be fine. I have frozen many cakes and have had no problems with dryness if frozen for a couple of months.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
