How to make Biscuits properly!

I received a lovely set of biscuit cutters for Xmas last year that I have yet to use. I think its about time I did though! I have a small problem though. Any type of biscuit I make always turns out hard and burnt on the bottom. How do I stop this from happening? Grateful for any help!

I would check the thermostat of your oven to start with. Also, dont have the oven tray to low down in the oven. You couold also have too much butter in the mix.

And don't grease the oven tray - baking paper is best. It can be saved, given a wipe and reused. Store it for re-use by rolling it around an empty cardboard roll.
