I'm after a recipe for asian noodles like the ones you get in food courts etc, which are generally used as a base before you put a different dish on top. Have tried to google but not sure of the names that come up so I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.

I think you'll have to be a bit more specific.There are so many different ways of presenting noodles.
Rice noodles!Wheat noodle!Deep-fried noodles!
Thai!Chinese!Lao!Malaysian!Korean!Vietnamese!

If you just want the basic egg noodles you get in food courts, boil up some instant noodles and toss a bit of hoisin and soy sauce through them when they're done.
