Rhubarb Jam recipe for Picxie

Finally found the recipes for you:
Rhubarb and Banana:
To every 500gm rhubarb add 2-3 banana's and 500g sugar.
Cut up rhubarb and add sugar, leave overnight or for 8 hours.
Next day boil all for 10 mins, add chopped banana's and boil for a further 5 mins.It sets really quick.

Rhubarb and Ginger Jam:To every 500g rhubarb add 500g sugar and ¼tsp ground ginger ( I add 1pkt preserved/crystallised ginger to every 1.5kg of fruit).
Boil all together for 15mins.
If you are worried about it burning on bottom you can add ½ cup water.

Have made Strawberry and Rhubarb and Raspberry and Rhubarb. I also use rhubarb when making crab apple jelly . helps with colour and setting.

Try making plum and rhubarb jam by mixing some diced rhubarb in with the plums as this makes a wonderful tasty jam, it still has a predominately plum taste but has two effects. It bulks out the plums and gives that more intense flavour, better than just plums! Cheers

Gosh, just seen this - was searching for rhubarb recipes as I want to use the last of our rhubarb up! Never did make the rhubarb jam but will certainly do so now. Thanks!

i made rhubarb and vanilla.ended up having to steal mil rhubarb as kids ate the lot out of the pot (vanilla pod used)
