How do I do an easy xmas cake glaze Please!

Apricot jam, into a saucepan and heated gently then seived to remove any lumps and brushed over warm cake.

Apricot jam again - i just whack a spoonful or two into the microwave and then brush it onto the cake - hot, warm or cold - provided jam is hot, it doesn't matter.I just use a home brand - doesn't have many lumps!(Only use it for glazing ham and cake; perfect for these jobs).

Simple recipe:
(1) Soak 1KG mixed fruit in 2 cups of orange juice overnight.

(2) stir in 2 cups of self raising flour. (add vanilla essence,cinnamon or mixed spices to suit)

(3) Cook at 150 celsiusfor 20 min. turn heat down to 145 celsius and check at 1 hour.

it is ready when a knitting needle or similar is inserted and comes out clean.

Cant go much simpler than that!tastes pretty good!
