Lots and lots of truffles and or rum balls. Do NOT throw it out. Or steam smalish amounts in Microwave and serve hot with custard.

Did you use high grade flour!
some of the recipes l have made this year haven't had any baking powder in and they have all been fine
Most fruit cakes are dense so it probably won't matter so don't throw it out

I'd just let it cook and eat it as normal, it won't rise as high but will still taste good

Thanks everyone, I will try making puddings and rumballs with it.

tjma my fruit xmas cake doesn't use Baking powder.
It will be fine.
How many eggs did it have as they are also a rising agent! Mine uses 4 large eggs and no BP and is a lovely cake.
Its not a failure, nor does it need binning. Suggest you try a piece once it has cooled down, you may be very surprised.

The recipe my mother always used had no raising agent at all and it was always a delicious cake! I am sure you'll find it totally edible and have no problems devouring it!
