Got them already then realised I didnt have another big pot to steam it in! my recipe makes two so one is on the boil, do you think the 2nd one woud be ok until tomorrow, they take 6 hours to cook so when the first finishes at 8.30pm I dont want to stay up and wait 6 hours for the 2nd to cook, I usually borrow my daughters but forgot and my preserving pan doesnt have a lid!

Will be absolutely fine - just keep it in the fridge overnight if you're worried

I always cook mine in the oven.Just make a water bath in your roasting dish and put steam pudding basins into.Always perfect, have been doing this for years.
