Christmas lunch entree ideas (not seafood)

Whats your favourite entree for Christmas lunch/dinner that doesn't involve any seafood.!

crumbed camenbert,is going to be on the menu at ours for those who don't like seafood:

Crumbed Camembert (or Brie)

Serve plain withcherries or grapes, with a side accompaniment of tartcranberry sauce .

Cut cheese into bite sized wedges.
Dip into flour, thenbeaten egg,, and then into veryfinely crushed wine biscuits . Repeat the egg and crumb layers to reacha firm, fairly thick coating.
Refrigerate until needed. The cheese should be very cold when cooked.

About 10 mins before serving take from the fridge and using a slotted spoon deep fry ina small pot of hot oil (200C)Remove and drain on absorbent paperas soon as the crumbed coating is golden brown.
If cut immediately thecheese inside will be runny, if left to stand for 5 mins the inside will be firmer.

Honey-roasted fresh asparagas with walnut brie
Can be served warm from oven but can be cooked a day or so in advance.
Allow 4-5 spears per person
1 kg fresh asparagus spears
Half cup mild honey
Half cup oil
Quarter cup balsamic vinegar
2 cups walnut halves
300g walnut brie
Trim asparagas spears if necessary and lay in a lightly greased baking dish in a single layer.Combine honey, oil and vinegar.Pour over asparagus spears and bake uncovered at 160 degreesC for 15-20 mins until the spears are tender.Turn once during cooking.Allow to cool in pan.Refrigerate until Christmas morning.Cut the brief into 20 thin slices.Arrange it and asparagus on entree or side plates.Sprinkle with walnut halves (optional).Spoon any remaining sauce over.
