My sister gave me lovely fresh vanilla beans.I would love to make jam or relish for christmas using the beans.Does anyone know of a recipe I could use them in please.Many thanks.

I think she means nice freshly cured onesthat are nice and oily (like the ones I sell)and aren't dried out like the supermarket ones.

I deleted that last message because we were both posting at the same time.Yes they are fresh ones, brown and oily.not like the dried up ones at the supermarket. :)

i add mine when i make custard for puddings or when i bottled pears i added a inch of a pod to each jar when i screwed the lid on,.now the pears have this amazing vanilla after taste.

I use mine in making Kahlua. Must get some more soon.
