It calls for a small tin of pineapple. I don't have a tin of crushed pineapple. would the blended flesh of an orange suffice for a substitute!

I've just pulled it out the oven now. I substituted 3 pureed oranges for the 3/4 c orange juice and small tin crushed pineapple. The raw mixture tasted good; the batter texture was fair. It's smelling good and looking fine. I'll cut it tomorrow after icing it and see the real proof then.

So it turned out on the moist side; 2 oranges would've sufficed. But it's still perfectly edible and good in all other regards.
