I cook veges in my steamer, but it's just an insert over a simmering pot.

I steam salmon mostly because it is too rich to pan fry and when I cannot be bothered baking in a parcel so presume that would work just as well in your steamer.

What about stuffing a whole fish with delicious things, wrapping in baking or greaseproof paper and steaming!

yes steaming veges is sooo much nicer than boiling/microwaving, i do it everynight for dinner. i too put my salmon in it like buzzy, as well as any other fish/seafood. i like chopping up a big mixture of veges such as cauli, broccoli, purple and green cabbage, courgette, onion, mushrooms, asparagus and loads of fresh herbs, and then throwing in some prawns or calamari yummmm
