Batter for Fish!

I need a Batter that actually stays on when cooking.Dont have a deep fryer.Sick of it coming off.

flour your fish before you put it in the batter.If you have very clean pan and oil, and heated to the right temperature, you shouldn't really have a problem

1 cup std flour, 1 cup good lager, little salt. flour fish first. a no fail beer batter.

flour and water a 1/ tsp of salt and same of Baking powder. mix to a thinish consistency plenty of oil in the pan and the key seems to be getting the temp of the oil right. I drip batter in to the oil until it goes golden in about 5 sec then add my fish. I also soak the fish in the batter mix for about 5 min before frying this seems to work well for us.
