Would Hoki be ok to make fish cakes!

I was going to make Thai fish cakes would Hoki be the right type of fish to use!

I used smoked hoki to balance the Thai flavours as I like them strong enough to identify individually (older person) .

hoki is a tasteless fish.tastes terrible for fish and chips.

Cat fodder but oks for fish cakes.:}white meat of Kahawai is nicer and prob cheaper

i like good old hoki
i wrap mine in a parcel of baking paper
sprinkle garlic and herb salt and flash bake it in a hot hot oven for ten min
comes out beautiful and soft melting
plus when its on special its cheaper than mince or sausages!

i really dont like trevally bleh!
to strong and firm
