Cook pastry first or not!

Making a mince pie with potato top.Do I precook the pastry and if so for how long.Using short pastry.I do not like soggy pastry.Mince and potato are cold.TIA.

I just make the pie and bake and don't have a problem with soggy pastry. I always spray the pie plate and dust with flour before assembling the pie and use a metal pie tin.
