i work as an esol teacher and have 12 tongan children we have been discussing food and i want to do some cooking with them, i would love to make some traditional tongan recipes so if anyone has any i would appreciate it.

Yep. That is what I would do. Knowledge in here about Tongan food is probably limited. Also try your local library. Use their internet catalogue. You understand that Tongans and Samoans are generous, kind spirited people and if I want to know how to cook a particular food I see in the local supermarket I just ask any Samoan or Tongan lady who may be buying that product when I am there. They are soo proud that someone wants to know and are happy to share.

yeah better still must be a parent there that maybe able come in and help for the day or something.
