will it work, or is it a misprint in the book!I thought they needed sugar! Is a new recipe, and I don't want to find out at 9.00 tonight that I don't have bread for lunches tomorrow.

It's from the Delectable Daley Bread book, and is the wholemeal milk bread recipe - ingredients are yeast, white flour, wholemeal flour, gluten flour, salt, evaporated milk, water & butter.

I have bread recipes that does not have sugar. If you have the basics (flour, water, salt & yeast) you can make bread.

Yeah, I went for the 'chucking a spoonful in just in case can't hurt' option. Can always do an emergency batch of muffins in the morning!

My bread used to use flour, salt and water .
and either yeast or sourdough to leaven it.
No sugar at all required.
