Is the caramel meant to be hot when you serve it or do you put it in the fridge beforehand!

I crush chocolate chippie biscuits (Farmbake are good), add melted butter and mix.Press biscuits into buttered dish and chill.Put the caramel condensed milk in a microwave safe bowl and heat on med power, stirring frequently until smooth and runny.Pour this over the biscuit base and return to fridge to cool and set.Just before serving, slice banana over caramel and them top with whipped cream and grated chocolate.
Yum.

I made up my own recipe

i crush malt biscuits, and mix through some coconut and melted butter and press into greased tin.

Then layer with generous amount of sliced banana.
Pour over caramel.
Whip 3 egg whites, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cornflour, and drop of lemon.(pavlova consistency), pour into tin.

Put in a heated oven (180degrees), then switch oven off.
Remove from oven when completely cool.Top with whipped cream.

I normally make mine late at night, and pop in the heated oven, so its cooled and ready to go for the next day.
