I just opened the first jar and it's so f&*^%%&^g hot it's inedible. Note to self:- "find alternate recipe for next year!" That's my whole crop ruined this year. Oh well - back to the drawing board. Perhaps I will put it up on TM - there might be some brave soul who is a masochist... lol

Digby Law's gingered beetroot is a good one for next year. I made it this year and was lucky enough to get to eat one jar before the rest hit the floor in Monday's earthquake (along with the rest of the contents of the pantry including about 45 jars of assorted homemade pickles, chutneys, and stewed fruit - many of which were destined to be gifts for friends and family - so annoying).

Oh no - you poor thing.How utterly frustrating. Have to say I am very shocked at one of Digby's recipes not being good as I have - touch wood- always found them to be fabulous. All that work and waste - what a shame. Can't help wondering if it was a misprint. Sorry

I've found some of Digby Law's recipes a bit odd, alot of the ones I've tried have turned out much too sweet.
