radman23, here are a couple of versions of Macaroni Cheese that we enjoy.....
MACARONI CHEESE 140g macaroni 2 tbsp butter 3 tbsp flour 300ml milk 1 tsp each ofmixed mustardandinstant stock powder (bacon, chicken, onion) – or use salt to taste pepper – white, black or a pinch of cayenne 170g grated cheese
Cook the macaroni according to the directions on the packet, then drain it well. Make a roux sauce with the butter, flour and milk.Add the mustard, stock powder (or salt) and pepper.Add the cheese, reserving about 2 tablespoons.Add the cooked, drained macaroni to the sauce and spoon the mixture into a greased ovenproof dish.Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.Reheat as necessary and serve immediatelyorlater, bake at180ºCfor approximately 30 minutes. If reheating in the oven this can be topped, if liked, with breadcrumbs and/or extra cheese, and/or small bacon rolls.
MACARONI, PINEAPPLE AND CHEESE 60g macaroni 3 tbsp flour ¼ tsp each ofsaltandmustard powder pinch cayenne pepper 1 x 227g can crushed pineapple in natural juice 1 cup chicken stock 140g grated tasty cheese
Cook the macaroni until al dente, then drain it well. In a microwave-proof bowl combine the flour, salt, mustard and cayenne pepper.Gradually add the juice from the pineapple and the chicken stock.Cook onHIGH/100% power, stirring at 1-1½ minute intervals until the sauce thickens and boils.Stir in the cheese, then add and mix the pineapple and the macaroni through.Serve as is or, better still, place the mixture in an ovenproof dish and reheat it later when it will be even tastier. Serves 2. This is a useful option to make if/when milk supplies are low, or if there is some pineapple juice needing to be used.

CUT BUTTER IN CUBES ----- PLACE PASTA, CHOPPED ONION,BACON, BROCOLI, GARLIC AND BUTTER IN A LARGE DISH AND ADD BOILING WATER AND COOK UNCOVERED ON MED HIGH POWER FOR 12-15 MINUTES STIRRING EVERY 5 MINS------- STIR IN MILK ------ COOK FOR 2 MIN TO WARM MILK----- ON A PIECE OF HANDEE TOWELMIX GRATED CHEESE WITH FLOUR, CAYENNE PEPPER AND DRY MUSTARD POWDER AND PARSLEY AND STIR INTO THE HOT PASTA MIXTURE-----AND MICROWAVE ONHIGH POWER FOR 3-4 MINUTES.--------
THEN PLACE THE BREACRUMB TOPPING ON TOP ALONG WITH THE TOMATO SLICES AND GRATED CHEESE AND POP UNDER THE GRILLER TILL CRISPY

microwave macaroni cheese.
2 cups of macaroni 3 cups hot water 1 teaspoons salt 100 grams of butter
1 and 1/2 cups of milk
300 grams of grated tasty cheese 1/4 cup of plain flour 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of dry mustard powder.
Microwave the water, butter, salt and macaroni for 12 minutes without a lid, stir twice in the 12 minutes. stand 5 minutes. Add the milk, mix together the rest of the ingredients, and stir in. microwave a further 3 minutes, stir microwave further 3 minutes. serve.
