Can you do anything else with it except put it into soups? IE...roast perhaps

Roast it slow and easy.whoopsy poopsy was thinking of a pork hock....roasting it might not be a good idea......boil it slow and easy and serve with mashed tattie and parsley sauce and cabbage and carrots or whatever veg takes your fancy

would be lovely roasted, eat it hot or cold. whenever I make soup with it I only ever eat the meat, make sandwiches with it.

never tried roasted but I cook it long and slow with potatoes and leek, then make soup with the leftovers.
