Marble Cake

hey guys, first time poster-long time reader!! Has anyone got a lovely (fail safe) marble cake recipie? (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate?) I have found some on the net however i would like a tried and tested one if possible. Its for my daughters birthday on Saturday. Cheers :)

Edmonds Marble Cake
125gr butter
125gr sugar
1 dessertspoon goldensyrup
3 eggs
225gr flour
1/2c milk
1TBSP cornflour
1tsp mied spice
1tsp b/powder
Cream butter, sugar & golden syrup. Add beaten eggs & cornflour (mixed to a smooth paste with the milk) alternately with sifted dry ingredients. Add spice to 1/2 of mixture & put alternative spoonfuls of plain & spice into a greased tin. Bake approx 1 hr @ 180.
Mixture can be divided into 3 parts, 1 being coloured with a few drops of cochneal..

there is a really easy one in the edmonds cook book. i made my first one tonight with my kids. basically just a sponge cake, seperate the mix into 3 parts.. add pink coloring to one part.. cocoa to the second part and leave the last plain. easy easy

As in the above postings the Edmonds one is definitely the best. Must say haven't made it in a while though.

Have just put one of these in the oven to bake.What fun!
