Fry onions add bacon add a some white wine then add cream. Mix through pasta and reduce down to a thick sauce season with salt and pepper

Fry finely chopped onion, a little garlic and chopped bacon until nice and golden, deglaze pan with a glass of white wine stirring well to remove any cooked on bits. add cream and sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 -10 minutes on a low simmer to reduce sauce- adjust seasoning with salt/peeper to suit your taste. Fresh herbs added now are nice such as parsley, chives, tarragon - stir through cooked pasta and serve with parmesan cheese shavings over the top and plenty of black pepper :-)
